In
order to provide a legacy as a founding sponsor
of the Saint Louis Art Fair, CEO established
the "Saint Louis Art Fair Public Art Collection".
Original works of art are selected by CEO members
at the fair and purchased with CEO funds. The
collection is on perpetual tour to schools, libraries
and other public locations throughout the St.
Louis Metropolitan area.

This
is the piece that was purchased at the
2002 Saint Louis Art Fair. It was chosen
because children are able to touch it without
serious risk of damaging it.
|
|
CEO
has created an Arts Education Program that
is currently being taught in St. Louis
City Schools. Working in cooperation with
the city school leaders and Springboard
to Learning has made this program a reality.
The
committee plans to include unfinished pieces
in different stages of creation as "hands
on" elements of the exhibit.
|
|
Through
arrangements with the Saint Louis Art Fair,
schools and other institutions can arrange
to have the Public Art Exhibit delivered
and set up at their location. The person
arranging for the exhibit can choose the
mediums and the amount of pieces they would
like displayed.

Art
work is exhibited in display cases as shown
above or on a display wall such as the
one shown in the photo to the right. Each
piece has a placard which gives details
about the artist and the artwork.
