In
2003, CEO's Public Art Exhibit Committee decided
to commission artists selected at the Saint Louis
Art Fair to create pieces of art Specifically for
the education and enrichment of inner city school
children. The artists were asked to
record their process from start to finish for inclusion
in the lesson plan. |
| The
first medium selected was ceramics. CEO
members who attended the "Art Safari" selected
two artists who agreed to create pieces specifically
for this project and document the process for the
lesson plans |

| The
committee secured a volunteer to develop a lesson
plan, based on the St. Louis City School curriculum,
for each piece. They then selected the
nonprofit organization, Springboard
to Learning & Young Audiences of St. Louis to
provide the teachers and administer the program
for CEO in the city schools. CEO will
be responsible for securing the funding to support
the cost of the program |

held a dedication ceremony where CEO and Springboard
