Generation Program |

|
Created
by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis,
in partnership with
Civic Entrepreneurs Organization,
the Next Generation Program is offered to schools that have participated
in the educational programs provided by the
Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. |
The
program is held the morning of the Economic
Forecast 2009
event. At that time, the student panelists present
their economic forecasts for the next year to
fellow students and the Economic Forecast 2009 professional
panelists. Then the student panel and those in the
audience have the opportunity to ask questions of the
professionals.

Following
the Next Generation Program, students have the
opportunity to attend the MarketCast luncheon program
and hear the presentations by the professionals.
At the beginning of the Economic
Forecast 2009 program, the moderator reviews
the previous year's panelist forecasts along
with the student forecasts. Forecasted figures
are compared to actual results. Student predictions
are often very close to those of the economic
professionals.
